Protection and colouring in ONE single layer

RMC Oil Plus 2C is the latest generation of wood preservative oils that color and protect wood in a single coat, preserving the natural appearance of its surface and veins.

It consists of two components, which can be purchased separately:

By using the two components together, the drying time will be significantly shortened (to 5 days) and the surface will be more durable, therefore it is absolutely recommended to use both components in case of surfaces exposed to higher mechanical stress (eg floors, worktops).

Thanks to the special molecular bonding technology, it can be applied without overlap.

It can be applied to floors, furniture, stairs, even in the kitchen, as it is ideal for handling worktops and other surfaces that come into contact with food.

Instructions

For furniture, stairs and worktops

Sand the surface scratch-free up to a grain size of 120. (Tip: The finer the sand, the lighter the color and the longer it takes to set the oil on the wood surface! 10-15 minutes for 120 grit, ~ 20 minutes for 150 grit.)
Vacuum the surface thoroughly, then remove any dust residue with Rubio Monocoat Cleaner and allow the surface to dry completely. (Check the Rubio Monocoat Cleaner data sheet before use).
Component A is stirred until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Thoroughly mix the two components by adding 300 ml of B Component Curing Accelerator to 1 L of A-Component Oil.
Lubricate a small amount of the mixed oil and apply to the surface:
- RMC Scrubby Pad
- Spatula
- Using an eccentric sander.
Allow the oil to react with the surface for 5-10 minutes, then wipe off any excess oil with a clean cotton cloth or white Pad within 15 minutes of first application.
As a final touch, wipe the surface with a cotton cloth under the sander until the entire surface is dry to the touch.

For floor treatment

As a final touch, wipe the surface with a cotton cloth under the sander until the entire surface is dry to the touch.

Tip

RMC Oil Plus 2C should be used within 4-6 hours of mixing, so be sure to mix only as much oil as you can be sure to use within this time interval.
